Peaceful Playground Program Components

The following products will assist you in the development of your Peaceful Playground Program. Remember there are five components of a Peaceful Playground Program. The planned implementation of all five are necessary in order to ensure a successful outcome.

Component #1 - Marking the Playground

More about BlueprintsFor those planning a painting party you may want to choose a Peaceful Playground Blueprint with Painting Instructions. There are four Blueprints to choose from:

Preschool & Kindergarten
Primary (Grades K-3)
Upper Elementary (Grades 3-6)
Field Markings (Grades 1-6)

Each Blueprint lists suggestions for painting, placement, and recommended game markings for your asphalt playground layout. The Field Marking Blueprint has suggestions for your turf layouts.

Component #2- Consistent Set of Rules

Each Blueprint has a companion rules guide which emphasizes the five components of a Peaceful Playground and offers the specific rules, activities, for the game markings found in the Blueprint.

More about Activity Guides Good Sportsmanship Certificates and reward coupons are also found in the guide. Equipment suggestions will help with planning and overall organization of the Peaceful Playground Program.

Component #3 - Equipment

Playground Equipment PackEach activity guide will provide recommendations for their uses. Your Peaceful Playgrounds Program Kit includes several activity guides with dozens of games and activities.

Your school can use their current equipment or purchase this comprehensive companion set of equipment to help you maximize your new Peaceful Playground.

Component #4 - Conflict Resolution

The Original Guide is still AvailableConflict resolution signs are included in each of the Playground Activities Guides. The signs are black line masters and may be duplicated.

The posting of the signs in each classroom reminds students of Peaceful Playground options.

To ensure success, every staff member should be thoroughly familiar with all five components of a Peaceful Playground.
